With a unique blend of Europe-Asia cross-border legal expertise and hands-on tech industry experience, Xi specialises in aligning regulatory compliance with business growth. Her multidisciplinary background spans gaming & blockchain law, M&A, corporate governance, and data privacy, serving clients across sectors from Fortune 500 to startups.

Jenny Chen

Partner

Before embarking on her legal career, Jenny worked across diverse industries, including finance, football club and gaming for two decades.

In 2020, she transformed her passion for law into a dedicated professional pursuit, focusing on providing expert legal services. She has developed a wealth of practical knowledge and insights.

Jenny specialises in advising clients on regulatory compliance and gaming law, helping them navigate complex legal landscapes.

Jenny is also a licensed immigration advisor registered with the Immigration Advice Authority. She specialises in business and personal visas, as well as global citizenship and residency, guiding many families and individuals in navigating their relocations and tax planning.

Christy Wang

Partner

Christy received higher education in both China and the UK and is fluent in Mandarin and English. With a strong legal background, she has extensive experience in international commercial law, business matters and contract negotiations, and has advised corporate clients as well as HNW and UHNW individuals on a wide range of UK-related legal and strategic matters. She also holds an accounting qualification in China, allowing her to support private clients with tax planning alongside immigration and residency planning in a more integrated and practical manner.

She previously served as Partner at a Legal 500-ranked UK law firm, where she led the immigration practice and advised on complex immigration matters for both private and corporate clients. Her practice also covers cross-border mobility, international relocation planning, and broader strategic support for globally mobile individuals and families.

Her current work continue to focus on UK market entry, global mobility, residency and citizenship planning, as well as tailored support for internationally mobile individuals, families and businesses. With a strong understanding of long-term visa and immigration policies across multiple jurisdictions, she helps clients take a global view in planning where to live, work, invest and establish their business presence, while also taking into account family life, tax efficiency and long-term wealth succession.

Joy Chen

Solicitor

Joy is dual-qualified in England & Wales and China, with over eight years of experience advising corporate clients on cross-border M&A, corporate governance, and commercial transactions. Having worked at leading international firms in Shanghai and London, she combines strong expertise in English law with a practical understanding of the Chinese legal and business landscape. This enables her to effectively support Chinese clients investing in the UK, as well as UK and European companies operating in or with China.

In London, Joy focuses on private M&A, equity fundraisings, and general corporate advisory work. She has advised on multi-jurisdictional acquisitions, public and private company transactions, and real estate-focused deals, often leading due diligence and handling key transaction documents. She also advises on share issuances, corporate structuring, and financing arrangements.

On the commercial side, Joy regularly drafts and negotiates supply, distribution, agency, and consultancy agreements, and provides guidance on corporate governance, data protection, and compliance. Her experience includes advising UK and Chinese companies on complex cross-border commercial arrangements.

Before relocating to London, Joy practised in Shanghai with Dentons and CMS, advising international and Chinese clients on inbound and outbound investments, joint ventures, and foreign direct investment.

Lawrence Chau

Mr. Chau is a dual-qualified solicitor admitted in both England & Wales and Hong Kong, bringing together a unique blend of legal expertise, construction industry insight, and law enforcement background. With over 20 years of experience spanning private practice and in-house counsel roles, he has built a reputation as a trusted advisor to international clients.

His practice covers a broad spectrum of commercial and corporate matters, contentious and non-contentious construction law, dispute resolution, family office set-up and operation, as well as criminal matters. Beyond legal knowledge, Mr. Chau is recognised for his pragmatic, solution-oriented approach—delivering strategies that align legal protection with business and personal objectives.

Drawing on his cross-border expertise and industry depth, he is committed to providing clients with professional, tailored, and practical solutions, ensuring their long-term interests are safeguarded with care.

Zoe Lo

Solicitor

Zoe is a dual-qualified Solicitor / Partner (Ireland and England & Wales) with extensive experience in advising Irish and international clients across immigration, investment, conveyancing, commercial and corporate matters, and litigation. Zoe has particular expertise in advising high-net-worth individuals, investors, and businesses—especially Chinese clients—on Irish immigration and investment strategies, including both project and client-side work in relation to the Immigrant Investor Programme (IIP).

Zoe is a graduate of University College Dublin and The Honourable Society of King’s Inns, Zoe is admitted to the Roll of Solicitors by the Law Society of Ireland. She is fluent in Cantonese and English.

She also advises on residential and commercial property transactions, as well as corporate and commercial matters for businesses establishing or expanding in Ireland, and provides commercially focused advice in litigation.

Jacob Tai

Paralegal

Jacob has worked on a broad range of matters spanning corporate, immigration, property, dispute resolution, and general commercial law. He has assisted on property-related matters including conveyancing transactions, lease reviews, tenancy issues, and due diligence exercises, while also supporting clients in commercial and civil dispute resolution matters through legal research, drafting, and case management. Combining a client-focused approach with strong organisational and analytical skills, Jacob is committed to ensuring 7LexLegal delivers exceptional results for every client.

Jacob earned his LLB from the Dickson Poon School of Law at King’s College London, graduating with honours in Company Law, Commercial Arbitration, Banking Law, and other disciplines. Before joining 7LexLegal, he gained valuable experience in the legal department of a real estate firm and at a commercial law firm in Malaysia, where he was exposed to a range of property, commercial, and dispute resolution matters.

Joe brings a data-driven and client-focused approach to services, combining a background in data analytics, software engineering, and financial operations with hands-on experience in cross-border client support. Prior to joining 7LEX Legal, he worked in banking and technology sectors, where he specialised in building automated workflows, managing large-scale data systems, and improving operational efficiency-experience that now enables him to manage complex client processes with precision and clarity.

At 7LEX Legal, Joe is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, acting as the central point of contact for day-to-day interactions, product inquiries, and feedback.
